  • Dr. Jean-Marc Lalancette, Chairman Emeritus

    Dr. Lalancette holds a Ph.D. (Chemistry) from Université of Montréal (1960). He is a professor Emeritus of the Université de Sherbrooke and the author of more than 40 patents related to mineral chemistry and problem solving in environmental science. His contributions have been acknowledged by several awards, including the Manning Award in 1985 for the development of a safer form of asbestos. Dr. Lalancette, co-founder of the Corporation, was a director and Vice-President, Development of the Corporation until his retirement in February 2015.

    Mark E. Goodman, Chairman

    Mr. Goodman is Executive Vice-President, Chief Operating Officer of Dundee Corporation and serves on its Board of Directors as well as on the board of several public and private companies. He began his career at Dundee Corporation where he has held numerous positions.  He has been actively engaged in the financial services and mining industry since 1992.

    Brahm M. Gelfand 

    Mr. Gelfand is counsel of Lapointe Rosenstein Marchand Melançon LLP, a law firm of Montréal, Québec. Mr. Gelfand’s areas of expertise are mergers and acquisitions and international transactions.  Mr. Gelfand is a director of a number of private and public corporations doing business in Canada, including Innovium Capital Corp., Dynamic CMP Funds and Canada Dominion Resources Management Corporation. He is a member of the Board of Governors of Dynamic Mutual Funds and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dynamic QSSP Fund.

    Brian Howlett

    Mr. Howlett is a graduate from Concordia University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (“CPA, CMA”) with over 30 years of experience in senior financial roles. Mr. Howlett has served as senior officer of numerous public companies over his career. He currently serves as President and CEO of CR Capital Corp and on the Board of Directors of Superior Copper Corporation, both TSXV listed companies.

    Hubert Marleau

    Mr. Hubert Marleau is a co-founder of Palos Management. With over 30 years of experience in the business and financial community, Mr. Marleau has raised funds privately and publicly for hundreds of emerging and mature companies, structured many mergers and acquisitions as well as designed and created numerous financial deals in Canada. Mr. Marleau has worked at the senior executive level of several large investment banks. During his career, he was a governor of the Toronto Stock Exchange, the Montreal Stock Exchange, and the Vancouver Stock Exchange, a director of the Investment Dealer Association of Canada and Board member for a multitude of publicly traded companies. Mr. Marleau graduated from the University of Ottawa with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Economics.

    Mario Jacob

    Mr. Jacob is Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of NCP Investment Management. He is a graduate from the Faculty of Law of Laval University and a member of the Quebec Bar since 1995. Mr. Jacob has more than twenty years of corporate finance, mergers and advisory experience and has been involved as lead advisor in numerous transactions including mergers and acquisition, going public transactions, financing and governance best practices implementation. Mr. Jacob has experience as board member of several public companies.

    Ned Goodman 

    Widely recognized as one of Canada’s most successful investment counsellors and a driving force in the financial and investment community in Canada. Mr. Goodman founded Dundee Corporation in 1984 and was its President and CEO from its inception until 2014. Mr. Goodman is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of Goodman Merchant Capital Inc., and a director of Dundee Corporation.

    Geoffrey Morphy

    Mr. Morphy, is Vice-President, Corporate Development of Dundee Corporation since April 2016.  He is part of the senior management team at Dundee Corporation responsible for strategy, new investments and portfolio management. Mr. Morphy has more than 30 years in cross-border and international commercial and corporate structuring and finance experience. He holds a bachelor degree of Commerce from the Dalhousie University. He has occupied positions as Managing Director and Vice-President of banks and financial institutions such as the Farber Financial Group between 2008 and 2016, ABN Amro Bank N.V. and LaSalle Bank between 2005 and 2008, as well as Comerica Bank, between 2000 and 2005.

    David Lemieux, Executive Vice-President

    Mr. Lemieux is a chemical engineer. He has graduated from the University of Sherbrooke and has many years of experience in industry and process development. He has worked for five years as project manager in the energy sector and served as director of engineering for OLEOTEK, a research center specialized in biofuels.His experience includes development of innovative hydrometallurgical processes for the mining industry. He participated closely in the development of the Corporation’s technologies at laboratory and pilot plant level. He is also co-inventor of several patents of the Corporation. He is currently pursuing a MBA program in business administration.

    Arved Marin, Chief Financial Officer

    Mr. Arved Marin is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA) with over 10 years experience in the minerals industry. Mr. Marin was the Corporate Controller of Creso Exploration until its acquisition by the Corporation in April 2014 and he held this position until his appointment as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Marin has served as Corporate Controller of several public companies in the minerals industry having operations in Canada and Latin America and has served as interim CFO of Dia Bras Exploration during 2009. Previously, Mr. Marin worked for 6 years as a financial auditor, Assurance and Advisory Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Marin is a graduate of Concordia University.

    Jean-Philippe Mai, Vice-President Business Development

    Mr. Mai holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Quebec in Montreal (“UQAM”) and has a vast experience in mining projects in Canada, Australia and South America. Mr. Mai has been the Senior Geologist of DST since January 2013 and has been a key player in the development of the Corporation’s ongoing and future projects. Mr. Mai, is a Professional Geologist and a member, in good standing, of l’Ordre des Géologues du Québec (“OGQ”) and may act as a “Qualified Person” as defined by Regulation 43-101.

    Luce Saint-Pierre, Corporate Secretary

    Ms Saint-Pierre has a License in Business Administration from École des Hautes Études Commerciales and a Bachelor of Law from Université de Montréal. She is member of the Quebec Order of Chartered Professional Accountants and of the Quebec Bar Association. Before completing her Law degree, Ms Saint-Pierre worked for 15 years for a national accounting firm where she served as a partner for seven years.
